CEAT ISRL selects EKA Arena as the venue for the inaugural Ahmedabad race

The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) has chosen EKA Arena as the venue for the Ahmedabad race of the inaugural season. The stadium, located near Kankaria Lake, is a testament to Ahmedabad’s vibrant sporting culture.

Completed in 2016, it was a public-private partnership between the Government of Gujarat and SE TransStadia, led by entrepreneur Udit Sheth. Mr. Veer Patel, Co-founder and Director of the CEAT ISRL expressed enthusiasm for choosing EKA Arena as a symbol of excellence in sports infrastructure and a commitment to hosting major international events.

With a seating capacity of 15,000, EKA Arena is known for its versatility and has hosted major events such as the Kabaddi World Cup in 2016, the Gujarat Giants in the Pro Kabaddi League, and the 2019 Intercontinental Cup, marking the first international football matches held at the venue. The CEAT ISRL will conclude its season with the last race at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on February 25th, 2024.
