Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages inaugurates Drinking Water ATM in Assam

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB), a leading FMCG company in India, has launched a Drinking Water ATM in partnership with the Y4D foundation in Nalbari, Assam. The ATM will provide clean drinking water to nearly 4000 people in the community, contributing to their well-being.

The initiative aligns with HCCB’s commitment to sustainable water security and regional empowerment efforts. HCCB’s Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Officer, Himanshu Priyadarshi, stated that the initiative is an important step towards addressing the need for community empowerment and access to safe, clean drinking water.

The initiative, inaugurated by Shri. Jayanta Mallabaruah, Hon’ble Minister of PHED, SEED & Tourism, Assam, and Smt. Varnali Deka, IAS, District Commissioner of Nalbari district, Assam. The Water ATM will benefit over 150 shops and commercial establishments, 50 street vendors in the immediate vicinity, and provide water to attendees of events at the Natya Mandir, which has a capacity of 500 people. HCCB has previously upskilled 400+ women in digital and financial literacy in Assam, and equipped schools with digital smartboards for tech-enabled learning.
