IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Yuvaan Developers Private Limited for the Holiday Inn Guwahati in India’s North-East region. The 150-room hotel is set to open in January 2028, and is part of IHG’s expansion strategy in secondary markets, catering to the growing demand for quality branded accommodation in the country. Located along Azara Road, the hotel will offer easy accessibility from Guwahati Airport and the city.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of South West Asia for IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed excitement about bringing the globally renowned Holiday Inn brand to Guwahati. He emphasized the rapid expansion of IHG brands in the country in line with increasing demand and the growing potential of secondary markets.
It will feature modern guest rooms, three dining options, a dedicated fitness center, a pool, four meeting rooms, a banquet hall, and signature amenities for social gatherings and MICE opportunities. The hotel will provide a great hospitality experience to a diverse set of guests visiting the city. IHG currently operates 45 hotels across five brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, Holiday Inn Resort®, and Holiday Inn Express®.
