Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav to be held in Delhi

The Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav, a four-day cultural extravaganza, will held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi from February 8th to 11th, 2024 celebrating the diversity of India’s Northeast region. This would be celebrated in seven chapters over the coming years as a biannual event, each focusing on a different geographical region of India. The first chapter will honor the Ashtalaxmi states, the eight culturally rich states of the North-Eastern Region. The event will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India on February 8th at 11.15 AM.

The inaugural edition of ‘Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav’ promises to be a vibrant and culturally enriching experience, connecting people from all walks of life to the rich tapestry of Northeastern heritage. The event aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Northeast’s contribution to our collective identity.

Key highlights of the event include the participation of 320+ weavers, artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs in handicrafts, handlooms, and agro-horti produce, a cultural showcase featuring 350+ artists from all eight states, and food stalls that showcase the region’s diverse flavors and unique traditions. Additionally, there will be a Kids Activity Zone and Youth Engagement Zone, providing an opportunity for young minds to learn about the historical and cultural richness of Northeast India.
