Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma honors Pulwama martyrs on 5th anniversary

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma marked the solemn occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Pulwama Attack by paying homage to the martyred soldiers on February 14.

Reflecting on the sacrifice of the courageous heroes, CM Sarma took to social media, stating, “On this day in 2019, nefarious elements from across the border carried out one of the most ghastly attacks on our soil where 40 of our brave jawans attained Veergati. On #PulwamaBlackDay, we remember the valiant personnel and vow to secure Bharat Maa from all threats.”

Joining in paying tribute, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also honored the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack. In a post on social media, PM Modi expressed his respects, stating, “I pay homage to the brave heroes who were martyred in Pulwama. Their service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered.”
