Arunachal Deputy CM launches logo for Bharat Lok Sangeet – Arunachal Utsav 2024

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein unveiled the logo for Bharat Lok Sangeet – Arunachal Utsav 2024 during a meeting held at his Secretariat office in Itanagar today. The newly revealed logo incorporates traditional Arunachal folk musical instruments, such as long trumpets, bossed gong, bronze clapper bell, and Tham log drum. Additionally, it features iconic traditional folk dances like the lion dance and peacock dance. The vibrant hues of the logo evoke feelings of festivity, celebration, and entertainment, harmoniously blended with the State emblem. This emblem symbolizes a fusion of local artistry, reflecting the profound cultural legacy of Arunachal Pradesh.

The unveiling of the logo signifies the initiation of preparations for the inaugural edition of the State Level Folk Music Festival, slated to occur in Namsai from February 28th to March 3rd, 2024. The festival, dedicated to honoring indigenous folk music and dances, will be bifurcated into two segments. On February 28th and 29th, 19 Indigenous Folk Music dance groups and 5 folk music bands from Arunachal Pradesh will captivate the audience with their mesmerizing performances. Subsequently, on March 1st and 2nd, folk dancers from 15 States across India will grace the stage.

This cultural extravaganza not only aims to preserve and showcase the abundant heritage of indigenous folk arts but also serves as a platform for cultural amalgamation, aligning with the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative.
