Amazon India signed an MOU with GAME to boost rural women entrepreneurship

Amazon India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) to promote digital growth of women entrepreneurs in India, particularly in Tier-2, Tier-3 cities and beyond. The partnership aims to support approximately 25,000 women entrepreneurs and artisans in their digital entrepreneurial journey, providing inputs in business capacity building, bridging digital marketing skill gaps, and enabling them to aggregate as collected brands. The MOU also aims to co-develop and facilitate broad-based entrepreneurship to accelerate and sustain the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India.

Amazon Karigar & Saheli will offer workshops/training, onboarding, and AM support for sellers involved in this entrepreneurship without any financial investment. Women entrepreneurs will receive hands-on training and support on digital marketing initiatives, performance marketing, product listing optimization, and advertising techniques, equipping them to adapt to current and future trends in the digital marketplace. They will also gain access to valuable data-driven insights and metrics, better knowledge on customer behavior and market trends.

Sharing his views on this occasion, Mr. Ketul Acharya, President, Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship said, “We are delighted to have partnered with Amazon for the Saheli program. Through this partnership, WEE at GAME is supporting Amazon in solving large-scale ecosystem challenges to women’s economic empowerment.”
