Durex TBBT empowers northeastern youth on 38th Statehood Day with life skills initiative

On the occasion of the 38th Statehood Day celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) collaborated with local authorities to empower youth through a unique life skills initiative. The event, held in partnership with district administrations in Durtlang, Mizoram, and Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, focused on spreading awareness among adolescents on crucial topics like consent, protection, and inclusion.

Key figures including C R Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai District, and state leads of TBBT, Ashim Nicholas Kawah, and Letkhogin Mate, joined the celebrations, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in shaping the future generation. The program, held at APIL General Ground Namsai and Aizawl Special Home, featured a range of activities aimed at educating youth on growing-up life skills. Skit performances addressing issues like child marriage, abuse, and menstrual health were showcased by students from Arunachal University, capturing the attention of attendees.

Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs and Partnerships at SOA, Reckitt, emphasized the significance of empowering adolescents, highlighting TBBT’s commitment to addressing health issues and promoting overall well-being among youth in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
