Air India has unveiled ‘Safety Mudras’, an inflight safety video that combines safety instructions with the vibrant culture of India. The video features Bihu dancers illustrating safety jacket instructions with spirited movements, reminiscent of Assam’s vibrant culture. The video also integrates safety instructions and seven other dance forms from around the country, each providing specific safety instructions in an engaging and culturally immersive manner.
The safety video will be progressively deployed on other aircraft in Air India’s fleet. Air India’s CEO & MD, Campbell Wilson, expressed delight in presenting a work of art that delivers essential safety instructions while showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity to travelers worldwide.
The video, created by industry stalwarts Prasoon Joshi, Shankar Mahadevan, and Bharatbala, and local talents like ImonPhukon, Pallavi Dutta, Pooja Devi Seal, Kankana Goswami, and Evamoni, showcases India’s cultural richness. The featuring music, composed by Shankar Mahadevan. The video will be initially accessible on Air India’s recently introduced A350 aircraft, which are equipped with state-of-the-art inflight entertainment screens.
