RBL Bank  donated bicycles and school-kits to girls students

RBL Bank, a leading private sector bank in India, has continued its commitment to supporting girl child education through its CSR initiative UMEED 1000. The bank has donated 300 bicycles to underprivileged girlchildren in Guwahati, Assam, with the support of various government officials and senior representatives.

 The initiative aims to provide a means of transport for children dropping out of school due to distance, and the bicycles will help them go to school in an energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable manner. The bank is distributing over 2000 bicycles and school-kits across India, including Guwahati, Patiala, Jaipur, and Nagpur.

The bank’s Managing Director and CEO, R Subramaniakumar, stated that the bank is committed to helping marginalized communities through its unique CSR outreach programs. Through sustained support under UMEED 1000, the bank aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of girls and contribute towards a more equitable society. The bank’s initiative is part of its mission of ‘Community as the Cause’, aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of girls and contribute towards a more equitable society.
