KRAFTON India announces the selection of its inaugural cohort for its recently launched KIGI

KRAFTON India, the mastermind behind BGMI, has unveiled the inaugural cohort of its highly anticipated KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) program. Among the selected few is the promising local team, ReDimension Games, marking a significant milestone for the Indian gaming landscape.

Out of a staggering pool of over two hundred applications from across the nation, ReDimension Games, led by CEO Pekrukhrietuo Pienyu, stood out with their captivating project “Sojourn Past,” an action-adventure game poised for release in 2024 on Windows and consoles. Hailing from Kohima, Nagaland, the team’s creation promises to blend action, exploration, and narrative depth in a visually stunning world, rich with pixel art and emotive music.Alongside ReDimension Games, Shura Games, headquartered in Bangalore, secured their spot in the first cohort with their innovative mobile game “Spice Secrets,” designed to enthrall audiences with culinary adventures and puzzle challenges.

The KIGI program, spanning a tailored mentorship period of 6 to 12 months, offers selected startups grants of up to $150,000, along with industry exposure and guidance from seasoned professionals. Anuj Sahani, Head of KRAFTON India Incubator Program, expressed excitement about the diverse talent pool, emphasizing the program’s dedication to reshaping India’s gaming scene.
