Samsung India has announced the launch of the second season of its flagship skilling initiative, ‘Samsung Innovation Campus,’ aimed at bolstering the nation’s youth in cutting-edge technology domains. The programme, targeting areas such as AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming, underscores Samsung’s commitment to fostering talent and driving innovation.
In a strategic move, the initiative will recognize national toppers in each domain, rewarding them with a lucrative cash prize of INR 1 Lakh along with an exclusive opportunity to visit Samsung facilities in Delhi/NCR. This facet of the programme aims to provide students with hands-on exposure and mentorship from Samsung’s leadership team.
Aligned with governmental initiatives like Skill India and Digital India, Samsung has partnered with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to train 3,500 students nationwide. Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, COO of ESSCI, lauded the programme for its potential to bridge the skills gap and enhance employability in emerging technology sectors.Scheduled to kick off in April 2024, the programme will span eight educational institutions across four states, offering a blend of offline and online learning, immersive hackathons, and expert mentorship.
