Samsung introduces design thinking workshops to cultivate innovation among Dimapur’s youth

In a bid to nurture creativity and innovation among the youth of Dimapur, Samsung has embarked on an inspiring journey, bringing design thinking workshops to local schools as part of its acclaimed ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ initiative. This pioneering endeavor seeks to ignite a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, equipping students with the tools to tackle real-world challenges with ingenuity and empathy.Led by Mr. SP Chun, Corporate Vice President of Samsung Southwest Asia, these workshops represent a significant leap forward in educational innovation. Tailored specifically for the Indian educational landscape, the workshops cater to students aged over 14, offering a holistic learning experience that goes beyond the confines of traditional classroom settings.

Structured as immersive one-day sessions, the workshops delve deep into the principles of design thinking, encouraging participants to explore diverse perspectives and ideate innovative solutions collaboratively. Through engaging activities such as role-plays, interviews, and interactive brainstorming sessions, students are empowered to embrace creativity and think outside the box.

Moreover, ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ invites young minds aged 14-17 to submit their visionary ideas addressing the theme of “Community & Inclusion.” The winning team, hailed as the “Community Champion,” stands to receive a substantial seed grant of INR 25 lakh for prototype advancement, alongside a suite of Samsung products for their school, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity.With its global reach and unwavering commitment to social responsibility, Samsung’s ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ initiative embodies the spirit of empowerment, paving the way for a brighter, more innovative future. Applications for ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ 2024 are now open until May 31, 2024, inviting young visionaries to embark on a transformative journey of creativity and discovery.
