Byatikram Education Conclave bridges borders through academic excellence

On June 10, 2024, Byatikram MASDO, an influential socio-cultural organization based in Assam, concluded its groundbreaking “Byatikram Education Conclave” at the historic Dhaka Club. The event, supported by the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Guwahati, JIS University, Friends of Bangladesh, SAARC Cultural Society, and North East Solutions, heralded a new era of educational collaboration between Eastern India and Bangladesh.

This pioneering conclave brought together leading universities and educational institutions from both regions for the first time, aiming to foster educational exchanges and strengthen cross-border communication. Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO, underscored the significance of such initiatives: “The more social, cultural, and economic exchanges between two countries, the stronger the economic and human relations.”

Mr. Ruhul Amin, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati, praised Byatikram MASDO’s enduring efforts, remarking on the high quality and impact of their events. The conclave opened with a heartfelt tribute to esteemed writer and cultural activist Mou Roychowdhury, followed by engaging panel discussions. Topics included “Bridging the Gap: Collaboration Opportunities between Educational Institutions in India and Bangladesh,” “The Future of Employment and Implications for Education,” and “Challenges and Opportunities in Student Exchange Programs.”

Notable speakers, such as Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice-Chancellor of Mahapurush Srimanata Sankardeva Vishwavidyalaya, and Dr. Farhad Zahid Shaikh, Chief E-Governance of a2i, Govt. of Bangladesh, shared their insights. Prestigious institutions like Royal Global University, Techno India University, and Dhaka International University participated, marking a significant step towards deeper educational ties and mutual growth between India and Bangladesh.
