Coca-Cola India and Skill India empower over 14,000 retailers in Odisha

Coca-Cola India, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has successfully empowered more than 14,000 retailers across Odisha through its Super Power Retailer Program. Launched under the auspices of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan last October, the initiative marks a significant milestone in reshaping the state’s retail landscape.

Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, emphasized the program’s strategic importance in enhancing retail capabilities amidst evolving market dynamics. He highlighted the partnership’s role in equipping retailers with essential skills crucial for business expansion and customer engagement, thus contributing to economic resilience.

Irene Tan, Vice President of Human Resources at Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, underscored the program’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for retail growth. She noted its positive impact on communities, including Guwahati’s market, where localized initiatives have bolstered business resilience and operational efficiency.

Through targeted training modules in customer management, inventory control, and financial literacy, the program not only enhances retail proficiency but also promotes gender diversity with significant female participation. The integration of the Skill India Digital Hub ensures accessibility to digital resources, facilitating continuous skill development and adaptation to market trends across the region.
