The NE Tech Summit 2024, held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, Kohima, has set the stage for a technological revolution in Northeast India. Organized by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) in collaboration with the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC), the summit focused on exploring the untapped potential of the region to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and the rise of deep-tech startups.
Key industry leaders, including Shri.SethrongkyuSangtam, Advisor, Department of IT & Communication, Government of Nagaland, and Shri.Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, highlighted the transformative role of AI and digital technologies in shaping the future. The summit underscored the opportunities for the region to capitalize on India’s growing digital infrastructure, especially through initiatives like the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which is designed to boost the manufacturing sector.

The growing interest from local entrepreneurs in launching tech-driven businesses is a key indicator of the region’s evolving market dynamics. With support from government initiatives and a young, dynamic workforce, Kohima is positioned to become a thriving hub for startups, offering a fertile environment for technology-driven growth.
