Peace foundation chief is visiting Itanagar to discuss greater connections with Arunachal and Japan

A high-level Japanese delegation led by Itsu Adachi, Executive Director of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, met with Arunachal Pradesh officials to discuss ways to expand cooperation in fields like technology, education, and sustainable development. Member of Parliament Tapir Gao was there as Chief Minister Pema Khandu welcomed the visit. He underlined the growing potential of the partnership between Japan and India, particularly for Arunachal Pradesh.

The talks focused on practical initiatives such as student and cultural exchange programs, political engagement, and the introduction of Japanese innovations to uplift local industries and farming. In a tweet, Khandu said, “Together, we aim to build lasting bridges of friendship, innovation, and development.”
