Dr. Neiphiu Rio, the chief minister of Nagaland, officially opened the Center of Excellence Industry 4.0 Srujan in the Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC) located in the New Industrial Estate. As part of M/s Bharat Forge Limited’s (BFL) corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, NTTC has teamed up with Bharat Forge Limited and SimuSoft Technologies to open the center of excellence. The center, which focuses on cutting-edge technology to match contemporary industrial practices, is the first of its sort in the northeast.
Nagaland’s Chief Minister, Rio Rio, has expressed confidence in the success of a partnership between BFL and NTTC, focusing on the untapped potential of Naga youth. The centre will train over 500 youth annually in advanced technologies like robotics, AI, 3D simulation, automation, and smart factories. Rio encouraged the firm to serve as ambassadors and commended BFL chairman Babasaheb N. Kalyani for seeing the potential in Naga youth. The centre will create job opportunities and entrepreneurship in fields like tech and AI-driven agriculture.
NTTC, a technology hub in Nagaland, has transformed from a small tool room to a hub for advanced technology and innovation. Over the course of 19 years, it has trained more than 10,000 young people, encouraged entrepreneurship through incubation centers, supported rural innovation, and expanded to remote locations. The centre now offers Industry 4.0 tools like AI, robotics, and 3D printing, future-proofing youth for the digital industrial revolution. The Centre of Excellence aims to train 500 youth annually in advanced technologies and serve as a model for the Northeast. She founded the Center of Excellence to give young people skills that will be useful in the future and to generate employment chances. Jakhalu highlighted Nagaland’s leadership position in Industry 4.0 and expressed hope that the project would change the tech scene in the state and give young people fulfilling employment.
