NMIPL & TAPF partner to provide over 50 lakh meals to New Delhi school students

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) and The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF) have forged a strategic alliance, marking a significant stride in addressing socio-economic challenges. Since January 2023, this partnership has culminated in the provision of over 50 lakh nutritious meals to underprivileged students in New Delhi’s government schools.

Aligned with Prime Minister’s POSHAN initiative, this collaboration has not only met the nutritional needs of students but has also bolstered educational outcomes. Over 49,000 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds have benefited from this program, administered through four Akshaya Patra kitchens, reaching 300 schools across the capital.

Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, emphasized the dual focus of the initiative, stating, “By addressing crucial issues of nutrition and education, we are investing in the future of children.” Mr. Bharatarshabha Dasa, National President Operations and Projects of Akshaya Patra Foundation, echoed this sentiment, expressing their dedication to making a meaningful impact.
