Toyota Kirloskar Motor paves the way for the future of mobility with Maharashtra green field facility

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is set to revolutionize the future of mobility in India with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Maharashtra. This agreement explores the establishment of a state-of-the-art Green Field Manufacturing Facility at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, highlighting TKM’s dedication to sustainable and innovative automotive solutions.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Harshadeep Kamble, Principal Secretary (Industries), Government of Maharashtra, and Sudeep Santram Dalvi, Director & Chief Communications Officer of TKM. The event was attended by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and TKM executives, including MD and CEO Masakazu Yoshimura and Vice Chairperson Manasi Tata.

This pioneering facility aims to enhance TKM’s focus on advanced green technologies and substantial job creation. For the Itanagar market, this development signifies a leap towards eco-friendly mobility solutions, bringing cutting-edge automotive innovations closer to consumers. The strategic location will optimize logistics, benefiting Itanagar and neighboring regions by providing seamless access to Toyota’s green vehicles.“Today’s MOU signing marks a pivotal point as we stride into the next phase of growth in India,” said Masakazu Yoshimura, MD and CEO of TKM.Building on a recent Rs. 3,300 crore investment in Karnataka, the Maharashtra facility embodies Toyota’s “Make in India” philosophy.
