Medanta successfully concludes 3-day multi-specialty medical Camp in Kohima, reaffirms commitment to Northeast India

The Medicity, Gurgaon, proudly announces the successful completion of a three-day multi-specialty medical camp in Kohima, Nagaland, from June 25 to 27, 2025. Ranked India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, Medanta organized the camp in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, IDAN, Directorate of Industries and Commerce, and Nagaland Police.

The camp, held at three locations across Kohima, served over 400 individuals and was supported by key dignitaries including Nagaland Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer, Director P. Tokugha Sema, and DGP Rupin Sharma. The initiative follows Medanta’s MoU with the state government for inclusion under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and MD, Medanta spoke about the  the importance of equitable access to quality healthcare, particularly in underserved regions like the Northeast. Kohima has responded positively to Medanta’s outreach, with local stakeholders viewing the initiative as a transformative step toward improving regional healthcare access. The collaboration is expected to encourage future investments and partnerships that will strengthen Kohima’s emerging medical infrastructure and address long-standing challenges such as late-stage cancer detection and treatment access.
