Medanta’s ‘Banno Ki Rasm’ drives breast cancer awareness, sparks consumer engagement

Medanta – The Medicity, six-time Newsweek Best Private Hospital in India, has captured nationwide attention with its breast cancer awareness film, Banno Ki Rasm, which has surpassed 8 million views across social media platforms. Part of the hospital’s “Jaanta Hai Medanta” initiative, the 2-minute 28-second video promotes self-breast exams as a monthly ritual, framing early detection as both a health priority and a consumer-focused initiative for women’s wellness.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, said, “Women play a vital role in society, and through this film, Medanta seeks to empower them while breaking the stigma surrounding breast cancer.” Dr. Kanchan Kaur, Senior Director of Breast Cancer, added that regular self-checks and timely screenings significantly improve treatment outcomes and enhance long-term quality of life, emphasizing preventive healthcare as a consumer necessity.

The campaign has prompted tangible market response. Local pharmacies, diagnostic centers, and wellness outlets reported increased inquiries for preventive screenings and breast health packages. Residents are actively engaging in health awareness conversations, reflecting rising consumer demand for wellness services and products tailored to women’s health, signaling a promising growth opportunity for healthcare providers in the region.
