From The Highlands, Rising Toward Honour

The Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to guide and mentor youth in the remote areas of West Siang have resulted in a proud milestone. Three aspirants from the Aalo belt — Jari Bagra, Toni Doji, and Yumper Nada — have successfully passed the Agniveer selection and will move to the Recruiting Office, Jorhat, on 04 December 2025 for formal induction into the Assam Regiment.

Hailing from Along and Basar, the youths pushed through distance, isolation, and limited facilities by staying focused and determined. Their achievement reflects the Army’s unwavering support, structured training, and dedication to encouraging talent from far-flung regions of Arunachal Pradesh.

A felicitation programme was organised on 03 December 2025 to celebrate their achievement and to inspire many more young people in the state to pursue their dreams with similar grit.

With its continued commitment to nurturing potential in border districts, the Indian Army ensures that opportunities reach even the remotest areas. The success of these three youngsters stands as a reminder of what guidance, courage and persistence can achieve.
