ManipalCigna Health Insurance has announced a major expansion of its operations in Northeast India, positioning its flagship product ManipalCigna Sarvah as a key instrument in improving healthcare financing access across the region. The health insurance offering, recognised as Product of the Year 2025 – Health Insurance following a NielsenIQ consumer survey, is designed to provide flexible and comprehensive coverage options suited to diverse household needs.
As part of its expansion strategy, the company has established eight branches across major Northeast cities and plans to onboard around 10,000 advisors over the next three years, including a targeted programme to empower 3,000 women advisors, strengthening workforce participation and last-mile service delivery. The insurer has also partnered with football icon Bhaichung Bhutia to enhance awareness campaigns promoting health, wellness, and financial protection. The Sarvah portfolio includes Sarvah Uttam with the Anant infinite coverage option, Sarvah Param offering Day-1 coverage with zero waiting period and unlimited sum assured, and Sarvah Pratham, an affordable plan targeting first-time buyers and the underserved “missing middle”.
