Komsing Day Marks Remembrance of Unsung Bravehearts in Arunachal Pradesh

The second edition of Ke:míng Longa (Komsing Day) was celebrated at Riné Dé:ré in Komsing Kumku, Siang district, honoring the bravery of heroes from the Anglo-Abor Wars against British colonial rule. This Insurrection Day commemorates the events of March 31, 1911, including the assassination of British officer Noel Williamson, which triggered the Fourth Anglo-Abor War. Arunachal Pradesh Minister Ojing Tasing emphasized that the day symbolizes sacrifice, courage, and unity. The event featured a walkathon from Karo Dé:ré to Riné Dé:ré, organized by the Komi Gumin Development Committee, with notable attendance from local dignitaries.
