Emergency Readiness in Focus: Dimapur to Conduct NEPEx 2026 on April 30

The 8th edition of the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2026 will be conducted in Dimapur on April 30, informed a circular issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.
The exercise is being organized in pursuance of directives from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), it stated.
In preparation for the event, a virtual capacity building programme was held on April 22 2026 at the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Concerned officers from the line departments, and heads of departments (HoDs) participated in the programme.
NSDMA in association with DDMAs and the concerned governmental departments, civil societies and the communities is organizing Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) to generate awareness among the communities and different agencies on how to establish mechanism for effective response to any disaster.
NEPEx is organized annually during different seasons of the year to acclimatize and build resilience to different extreme weather throughout the year. The goal of NEPEx is to make Nagaland a safer and resilient society.
