Arunachal Committed to Stronger, Transparent ILP Framework: Minister Gabriel D Wangsu

The Arunachal Pradesh government fully recognises the critical importance of streamlining the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system and is working on it with all seriousness and dedication, State Minister Gabriel D Wangsu said after chairing the inaugural meeting of the High-Powered Committee on the ILP Framework in Itanagar on Thursday.

“We held extensive deliberations and received valuable suggestions from all stakeholders on building a more robust, efficient, transparent, and future-ready ILP framework for the state,” the Minister said.

This first sitting was attended by the member secretary Ranphoa Ngowa (IFS), Secretary (Political), along with the committee members consisting of representatives from the government, security agencies, Arunachal Indigenous Tribal Forum (AITF), All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), Arunachal ST Bachao Andolan Committee (ASTBAC), legal experts and academia.

“Our government is committed to protecting the interests of the indigenous people of our state while ensuring an effective and responsive ILP regime for the future,” the Minister said.
