This time, a unique Durga Puja pandal will be decorated based on the life and political struggle of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. The theme for this puja, to be organized at Ruby Crossing in the metropolis under the initiative of the Hindu Mahasabha, has been decided as ‘From Nandigram to Nabanna: Bubai’s Victorious Journey’.
Popularly known as ‘Bubai’, the Chief Minister’s childhood, entry into politics, struggles of various movements, and finally his entire journey to becoming the Chief Minister of the state will be reflected in this pandal. The organizers have informed that this political history will be presented to the visitors through various sculptures, flex panels, photographs, murals and documentaries.
Hindu Mahasabha state president Chandrachur Goswami said, “Apart from installing a small idol of Suvendu Adhikari in the pandal, the significant milestones of his life will be displayed through documentaries.”
Along with this, this puja pandal will be constructed with a blend of Bengal’s traditional patachitra and aesthetic artwork. Construction work has already begun. The organizers are hopeful that this unique theme will attract lakhs of devotees and visitors during the days of the puja.
