Nestlé India has expanded its flood relief efforts across Nagaland, Odisha and Assam, providing essential supplies to affected communities in coordination with district administrations and local bodies.
In Nagaland, the company provided 1,000 grocery kits to flood-affected communities in Mon district following outreach to the District Commissioner. The District Administration and local civil bodies supported the distribution of the kits.
In Odisha, Nestlé India worked with the Bhadrak District Administration to assist affected communities in Chandbali Tehsil and Tihidi Block. The relief package comprised 3,000 grocery kits and 1,000 hygiene kits.
In Assam, the company coordinated with the District Commissioners of Jorhat and Sivasagar to distribute 4,000 grocery kits, with 2,000 kits provided to affected communities in each district. The Assam Disaster Relief Team and local authorities facilitated timely distribution.
In Kohima, the intervention highlights the role of corporate-led relief support in supplementing local administrative efforts during flood emergencies. The distribution of essential grocery supplies through established local bodies can also help address immediate household requirements in affected communities.
