Ola Electric Shifts Retail Strategy with Launch of Network-Partner Outlets

Ola Electric announced on Friday the official launch of its first cohort of network-partner stores, opening dealer-operated outlets across Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Marking a major structural shift in the company’s retail strategy, this rollout comes just one month after Ola Electric opened its sales and service network to dealer partners on August 6—a significant evolution from the direct-to-consumer, fully company-owned model it operated since launching its first scooter five years ago. According to Manoj Murali, Chief Business Officer at Ola Electric, company-owned stores successfully built brand awareness and established a customer base of over 10 lakh riders, paving the way for a partner-led distribution model to drive deeper local penetration, faster response times, and broader accessibility. The new dealer network will play a vital role in taking electric vehicles mainstream for households nationwide, particularly alongside the company’s accessible S1Z range starting at ₹79,999. Over the next couple of quarters, Ola Electric aims to expand to a footprint of over 500 dealerships, while its existing company-owned stores transition into dedicated brand experience centers.
