Three orphaned bear cubs undergoing rehabilitation at the Centre for Bear Rehabilitation and Conservation (CBRC) have embarked on the next stage of their journey towards returning to their natural habitat.
The cubs, rescued after being separated from their mothers, have been receiving specialised care and rehabilitation at the centre. Wildlife experts have been working to prepare them for life in the wild by gradually reducing human interaction and encouraging natural behaviours essential for survival.
The transition marks an important milestone in the rehabilitation process, aimed at ensuring the bears can live independently in their natural environment. Conservationists said the initiative reflects CBRC’s continued commitment to wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and successful reintroduction of rescued animals into the wild.
The progress of the three cubs highlights the importance of long-term rehabilitation efforts in protecting and conserving wildlife in Assam and the wider Northeast region.
