Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), investment manager to Canara Robeco Mutual Fund and India’s second-oldest mutual fund, has launched its ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’ in Bihar to strengthen financial literacy and promote awareness of mutual fund investments.
The investor education bus began its journey in Patna, travelled through Muzaffarpur and has now reached Darbhanga. It will subsequently cover Bhagalpur and Gaya, offering interactive sessions and digital resources to help residents understand investment concepts, dispel common myths and make informed financial decisions.
Rajnish Narula, managing director and chief executive officer of Canara Robeco AMC, said informed investors contribute to a stronger financial ecosystem. He noted that the initiative had already reached 19 states and regions, including Assam, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, before expanding its outreach to Bihar.
Gaurav Goyal, chief business officer of Canara Robeco AMC, said the campaign aims to make financial knowledge practical and accessible while encouraging long-term investment habits through direct community engagement.
In Darbhanga, the initiative could strengthen awareness of formal investment avenues among households, salaried individuals and small business owners. Improved financial literacy may support more informed savings decisions and broaden understanding of market-linked products, although mutual fund investments carry market risks.
The campaign reflects Canara Robeco AMC’s broader focus on financial inclusion and investor education in underserved markets.
