Motorola has officially expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, a device that blends high-end photography capabilities with a sophisticated aesthetic. Unveiled on Friday, March 6, 2026, the smartphone is being positioned as a “segment-first” disruptor, headlined by its 50MP primary camera utilizing the Sony LYT-700C sensor. This advanced imaging hardware is specifically engineered to excel in low-light environments, offering enhanced dynamic range and faster autofocus through All-Pixel Omni-directional PDAF technology. The camera system is further bolstered by a 13MP ultra-wide lens that doubles as a macro vision sensor, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera designed for high-resolution selfies and 4K video recording. Continuing the brand’s design philosophy, the Edge 70 Fusion maintains an incredibly slim profile with an IP68 rating for underwater protection, making it both stylish and resilient against the elements.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is powered by a custom-tuned MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset, optimized to deliver a seamless balance between power efficiency and high-speed gaming performance. The device features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2000 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals even under direct sunlight. To support this hardware, Motorola has equipped the phone with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower fast charging, which the company claims can provide a full day’s power in just 15 minutes of charging. On the software front, the phone runs on the latest Android 16-based Hello UI, promising a clean, ad-free experience with three years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches, alongside advanced AI features like “Magic Canvas” for text-to-image generation.
Available in a variety of Pantone-curated finishes, including a signature “Forest Green” vegan leather and “Arctic Frost” glass, the Edge 70 Fusion is priced competitively to target the mid-premium segment of the Indian market. The base variant, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is launched at an effective price of Rs 27,999, which includes introductory bank offers and exchange bonuses. Sale for the device is scheduled to begin on March 12 via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and leading retail stores across the country. With its combination of a flagship-grade Sony sensor, a durable slim-chassis design, and a future-ready software commitment, Motorola aims to capture a significant share of the youth-centric market during the upcoming spring festive season
