In collaboration with the National Commission for Women, the Nagaland State Commission for Women will host ‘Mahila Jan Sunwai’ (Public Hearings) from March 9 to 13, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This initiative aims to provide women a platform to voice grievances regarding domestic violence, workplace harassment, and other gender-based injustices. Dedicated teams will ensure timely grievance redressal, offering immediate hearings and support through various legal and administrative bodies. By bringing this mechanism to grassroots levels, the initiative seeks to enhance access to justice for women, particularly in rural areas, and represents a commitment to actionable support rather than mere symbolic recognition. The hearings are scheduled at various locations across the state.
