Arunachal CM Congratulates Joram Aniya on Appointment to NITI Aayog

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today congratulated academician Joram Aniya for being appointed as a full-time member of the Niti Aayog, saying her engagement will bring valuable insights into national policymaking.

“Heartiest congratulations to Dr. Joram Aniya on her appointment as a full-time member of NITI Aayog. Her achievement marks a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh and the entire Northeast, reflecting growing representation in national policymaking,” Khandu posted on X.

The center on Saturday appointed Aniya and scholar-author R. Balasubramaniam as full-time members of the NITI Aayog, taking the total number of such members in the government think tank to seven, along with a vice-chairman.

An accomplished academician, writer, and folklorist, Aniya is known for her contributions to Hindi literature and efforts in preserving Nyishi cultural heritage.

“I am confident that her presence in NITI Aayog will enrich policy discourse with deeper insights into indigenous knowledge, education, and inclusive development,” the CM said.

“I also extend my gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for consistently empowering diverse voices and ensuring greater regional representation at the highest levels of governance,” he added.
