Mass Social Work Programme Planned in Kiphire on National Dengue Day

A mass social work will be undertaken in Kiphire district of Nagaland coinciding with National Dengue Day on May 16. Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator, Kiphire Town Council, Longdiba L Sangtam, has notified that, in pursuance of the directive of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, National Dengue Day will be observed on May 16,2026 across the country under the theme “Community participation Dengue Control: Check, Clean and Cover” and as part of pre-monsoon preparedness.

He said that the general public, departments, and institutions are requested to actively participate in the mass social work to be held on May 16 at Kiphire from 6 am onwards, aimed at preventing and controlling dengue. National Dengue Day is observed annually in India on May 16 to raise awareness about dengue prevention, early detection, and effective management.
