The Draft Electoral Rolls for all three Assembly Constituencies of Tawang District—1-Lumla (ST), 2-Tawang (ST), and 3-Mukto (ST Draft Electoral Rolls have been published in accordance with the schedule notified by the Election Commission of India (ECI) under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls.
The draft electoral rolls are available for public inspection at the offices of the District Election Officer (DEO), concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and designated Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
As per the published Draft Roll, Tawang District has a total of 25,512 electors, comprising 12,227 male electors and 13,285 female electors across the three Assembly Constituencies.
During the enumeration process, Booth Level Officers also verified and identified 3,023 electors whose names were not included in the Draft Electoral Roll under various categories, including 628 deceased electors, 2,002 shifted electors, 269 absent/untraceable electors, 85 already enrolled elsewhere, and 39 under other categories.
The claims and objections period has commenced from July 21, 2026 and will remain open until August 20, 2026. During this period, eligible citizens and electors may apply for inclusion of names, correction of entries, deletion of names, or any other necessary modifications in the Draft Electoral Roll by submitting the prescribed forms either online or offline.
The notice and hearing phase for disposal of claims and objections will be conducted from July 21 to September 18, 2026. Individual notices indicating the date, time, and venue of hearing will be served to the concerned applicants, and decisions on the applications will be taken by the respective Electoral Registration Officers after due hearing.
The Final Electoral Roll will be published on September 22, 2026 after the disposal of all claims and objections.
As part of the transparent revision process, copies of the Draft Electoral Rolls have been handed over to the authorised representatives of recognised National and State Political Parties in the district.
A review meeting with the EROs, AEROs, and representatives of political parties was held on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing revision process. In addition, lists of claims and objections received during the revision period will be shared with political parties on a weekly basis.
