Golam Babu Kibriya meets Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma

Eminent Assamese businessman, youth leader and social worker Golam Babu Kibriya met Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a courtesy meeting today, accompanied by his wife. Cabinet Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah was also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, Kibriya made a significant financial contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, reaffirming his commitment to humanitarian causes and support for people affected by natural calamities and difficult circumstances.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on Assam’s overall development, the role of the youth, social welfare and the welfare and development of minority communities.

Alongside his business activities, Kibriya has been associated with various social initiatives. He is regarded as a thoughtful voice on the welfare and overall development of minority communities, with emphasis on education, youth empowerment, self-employment and social equality.

Through the Kibriya Foundation, he has also undertaken relief initiatives for flood-affected communities in Upper Assam. Recently, relief materials were distributed among affected families in different areas, while efforts were made to understand their immediate needs and difficulties.

Kibriya’s continued efforts to stand beside vulnerable communities, contribute to relief initiatives and promote social welfare have strengthened his profile as a young business leader with a commitment to public service.

The meeting with the Chief Minister marks another significant occasion in Kibriya’s continued engagement with issues concerning business, youth development, social welfare and the broader development of Assam.
