MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV Hits Indian Market, Gets 1,100+ Km Range and ₹25.70 Lakh Starting Price

The MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV has made its debut in India with an introductory price of Rs 25.70 lakh, ex-showroom. The new plug-in hybrid SUV is aimed at buyers looking for a combination of petrol-powered performance and electric driving capability, with a claimed full-tank range of up to 1,100 km.

Design-wise, the Hector Tomahawk PHEV follows a muscular and upright styling theme. It features a large front grille with chrome elements, rectangular LED headlights and gloss-black accents. The silver trim on the front bumper further enhances its rugged look.

The side profile gets 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black cladding, black roof rails and dual-tone ORVMs. A chrome strip runs along the window line, while the rear section gets wraparound rectangular LED taillights and a compact roof spoiler with a stop lamp.

The cabin gets a dual-tone colour scheme with dark grey and off-white shades. Key features include a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch driver display, wireless charging and a two-spoke steering wheel. The SUV also gets ventilated seats, gesture-based AC and music controls, 256-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker Infinity audio system, an electric tailgate, connected car features and rear window sunshades.

The powertrain combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 20.5kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The motor develops 201 hp and 237 Nm, while the petrol engine produces 102 hp and 125 Nm.

MG claims an electric-only driving range of 115 km for the Hector Tomahawk PHEV. When the petrol engine and electric system are combined, the SUV is claimed to deliver up to 1,100 km of range on a full tank.
