Redmi is gearing up to launch its new Note 17 Pro series in India, with the company confirming that the smartphones will arrive on September 15, 2026. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, with the company gradually sharing details about their design, colours and hardware.
One of the key highlights of the new series will be its 10,000mAh battery. Redmi is promoting the large-capacity battery under the tagline “mAhster of strength”. Xiaomi claims that, based on its internal lab tests, the phones could deliver more than four days of usage on a single charge when used lightly.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro has been officially teased in a blue colour option. The images show a flat rear panel with a square camera module positioned in the top-right corner. The Pro Max is expected to feature a similar design, including a matching camera island.
The company has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature a dual rear camera system. Its primary camera will use a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation. Both smartphones will have the power button and volume controls on the right side.
The Note 17 Pro series is expected to be sold in India via Amazon. Although Redmi has not yet officially revealed all India-specific details, the Pro Max is already available in select global markets.
The global Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at JPY 79,980, approximately Rs. 47,900, for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and comes with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM. It offers up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, the global model features a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. More information about the India pricing, variants and specifications is expected to be announced when the Redmi Note 17 Pro series launches on September 15.
