India continues to boast the world’s leading growth outlook, according to a Tuesday World Economic Forum survey showing that 98 per cent of chief economists anticipate moderate or stronger growth over the next year and domestic resilience pushed the fiscal 2026–27 forecast to 6.7 per cent, although the country’s ranking for a favourable business environment for multinational companies fell from second place in May to fourth place now, with 40 per cent of respondents listing it in their top three choices behind the US, South-East Asia, and Europe, while China followed in fifth place, alongside wider global insights indicating that 97 per cent of experts expect increased AI adoption alongside data-centre expansion backlash, 69 per cent anticipate Chinese large language models catching up to the US, and overall economic sentiment shows cautious stabilization despite widespread worries over geopolitical tensions and escalating living costs.
