Managing a failed payment, checking an unfamiliar debit or dealing with a recurring subscription could become simpler for BHIM users with the introduction of MyUPI, a conversational AI-powered assistant launched by NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
Launched by NPCI at Global Fintech Fest 2026, MyUPI offers 24/7 assistance for UPI-related requirements through the BHIM Payments App. It currently supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali, with more regional languages planned.
Available under Quick Actions, the service allows users to view transaction histories across linked bank accounts and UPI apps, raise and track eligible complaints and manage Autopay mandates. Users can pause, resume or cancel applicable mandates and identify debits made through mandates without a UPI PIN prompt.
MyUPI’s Pay Safe feature lets users enter a UPI ID or upload a QR code to verify the payee name before making a payment. Eligible P2P and P2M transactions, including those originally made through another UPI app, can be re-initiated with fresh UPI PIN authorisation.
The service also allows UPI Number de-linking and provides a Safety Switch to block linked bank accounts following a suspected compromise, lost phone, unexpected debit or suspicious message. Users can additionally seek guidance on scam messages and commonly reported UPI fraud methods.
Lalitha Nataraj, MD and CEO of NBSL, said MyUPI aims to make digital payments more accessible while strengthening user trust and confidence.
