As part of the ongoing ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ being observed to mark the 25th year of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service, a programme titled ‘Angan Milan Seva’ was organized on 7th October at 15 Anganwadi centres under Majirgaon Gaon Panchayat, falling under the Jalukbari constituency, at the initiative of the Mahila Morcha of BJP’s Bimankoth Mandal.
As part of the programme, Ramcharani Anchalik Panchayat member Gitanjali Bhuyan, Majirgaon Gaon Panchayat President Arunima Das and its members, along with office-bearers of the BJP Mahila Morcha, visited the Anganwadi centres and felicitated the workers and helpers who have been taking care of children there, by presenting them with citations and certificates of honour.
According to Anchalik Panchayat member Gitanjali Bhuyan, the main objective of this programme was to encourage the workers and helpers serving at the Anganwadi centres and to understand the problems faced by them. Similarly, a survey was also conducted to check whether the children are properly receiving the nutritious food items sent by the government.
Food items were distributed among the children of the centres during the programme. Many people from the neighbouring areas of the centres were present on the occasion.
