New Delhi, February 14, 2024: The ‘India Summit on Education Knowledge Exchange’ witnessed a convergence of minds from twenty nations, all seeking to glean insights from India’s transformative initiative, Skill India Digital (SID). Organized by the World Bank, the summit served as a platform for global collaboration in education and skill development. Skill India Digital, launched in September 2023, has swiftly emerged as a game-changer in integrating skill development, education, and employment opportunities. With over 40 lakh registrations and 550+ courses, SID has set a new benchmark for digital skilling platforms.
The summit highlighted the efficiency and inclusivity of SID, with delegates from various nations expressing admiration for India’s digital prowess. Shri. Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of MSDE, emphasized the pivotal role of technology in skill development, while Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, showcased SID’s innovative features like Digitally Verified Credentials and Skill India Map.
Delegates from countries like Bhutan and Liberia lauded India’s efforts and expressed eagerness to replicate SID’s success in their respective nations. Skill India Digital stands as a shining example of India’s commitment to fostering a skilled workforce and leveraging technology for socio-economic advancement.
