Youth empowerment takes center stage at eastern Arunachal Yuva Sammelan

The Multipurpose Cultural Hall in Namsai reverberated with energy on February 22 as the Yuva Sammelan of the Eastern Arunachal Parliamentary Constituency unfolded, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Serving as a dynamic platform, the event brought together youth from across Arunachal Pradesh to address pressing issues and engage in developmental initiatives. Established in 1978, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) stands as the largest youth-based political organization globally, operating under the umbrella of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Fondly known as “Yuva Morcha,” it has been instrumental in galvanizing youth participation in political and societal spheres. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, in his address, celebrated the rich diversity of Arunachal Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of unity amidst the myriad cultures and traditions. He lauded the ‘Yuva Sammelan’ as a platform for embracing this diversity while fostering solidarity among the people.

Mein urged the youth to play an active role in state-building endeavors, urging them to be catalysts for positive change and progress. He encouraged their involvement in the dissemination of benefits from both central and state flagship programs, including schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, designed to nurture entrepreneurship among the youth. Highlighting the need for dedicated support from youth party workers, Mein underscored the importance of transcending leader-based politics and aligning with the BJP ideology for the state’s welfare.

Recognizing the immense potential and talent among Arunachal Pradesh’s youth, Mein emphasized their pivotal role as agents of change in shaping the state’s future. The event saw the presence of notable figures including Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao, Minister of Urban Development Kamlung Mossang, Deputy Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Tesam Pongte, State Yuva Morcha President Ritemso Manyu, along with several MLAs, state BJP officials, district presidents, and party workers, underscoring the collective commitment to youth empowerment and development.
