Arunachal Assembly’s Budget Session Begins

The fifth (Budget) Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly in Arunachal Pradesh commenced with a two-day Special Session. Governor K.T. Parnaik emphasized inclusive development, democratic governance, and infrastructure growth, acknowledging over Rs 5,100 crore in project support from the Government of India. He noted a 2.6-fold GDP increase and significant resource expansion, while declaring 2025–26 as the “Year of Human Capital” with a focus on education and youth employment. Key initiatives discussed included hydropower development, tourism promotion, and governance reforms. The Assembly also paid tribute to former MLAs who recently passed away, acknowledging their contributions to public service.
