Tanishq announces launch of ‘Maithili’ bridal collection inspired by Madhubani art

Tanishq has announced the launch of its latest bridal jewellery collection, ‘Maithili’, under its Rivaah sub-brand, ahead of the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The collection draws inspiration from the traditional Madhubani art form, celebrating cultural motifs such as lotus, peacock and fish, symbolising nature, companionship and heritage.

Crafted in 18KT gold, the collection combines intricate filigree and rawa craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities, offering a complete Bihari bridal trousseau including chokers, haars, jhumkas and nathiya. It also features signature elements such as the Chudamani—referenced in the Ramayana—reimagined for contemporary wear, along with a modular Maang Tikka designed for dual use as pendants. Designs inspired by Ashok Vatika and Pushpak Viman further strengthen the collection’s cultural narrative.

As part of the launch, Tanishq has introduced a regional campaign featuring actor Akshara Singh as the face of the Maithili collection, highlighting the spirit of the modern Maithili bride.

The collection will be available across stores from April 10, accompanied by festive offers including a complimentary gold coin, discounts on diamond value and full exchange benefits on old gold, reinforcing Tanishq’s commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and customer value.
