KRAFTON India has unveiled a new digital initiative, Beyond Battlegrounds, aimed at highlighting real-life stories of passion and innovation emerging from India’s gaming community. The campaign debuts with the inspiring journey of Karan Kargwal, a 28-year-old railway technician from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, who built a full-scale replica of BGMI’s iconic in-game buggy on the rooftop of his modest home—using scrap metal, an old motorcycle engine, and a phone camera.
Kargwal, with no formal engineering background, reverse-engineered the vehicle using game screenshots and 3D models. His video series on Instagram rapidly gained traction, amassing over 220,000 followers—95% from Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities. BGMI later supported his project, turning it into a symbol of how gaming can fuel creativity and ambition. KRAFTON India’s Saurabh Shah said, “Gaming in India is no longer a niche – it’s a movement led by small-town creators.”
In Dimapur, the gaming market is steadily growing, with local youth increasingly embracing titles like BGMI not just for entertainment but also for self-expression and content creation. Initiatives like Beyond Battlegrounds are expected to energize local creators and inspire similar innovations across Nagaland.
