The Medicity, Gurgaon, in partnership with the Government of Nagaland and the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), has launched a health awareness booklet designed to address the wellness needs of legislators, senior officials, and the wider public. The move reflects a growing market trend in India’s healthcare sector, where preventive care is becoming a priority.
The initiative, conceptualized by Nagaland Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and backed by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, was officially launched by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Over 200 leaders and officials received copies, with digital distribution set to expand reach. Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, underlined the economic value of prevention, noting that healthier lifestyles reduce long-term treatment costs and support workforce productivity.
With rising middle-class spending power and a shift toward wellness-focused consumption, demand for preventive solutions is climbing. Traders and service providers increasingly view healthcare education, wellness products, and screening services as emerging growth segments. The launch complements Medanta’s earlier MoU under Nagaland’s Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme and its medical camp in Kohima, which attracted more than 400 participants.
