Boost for civil service dreams: Arunachal backs UPSC aspirants with incentives

Arunachal Pradesh Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona announced that the state government is offering free coaching for UPSC aspirants from tribal communities through a New Delhi-based institute. Additionally, candidates who clear the preliminary examination receive a one-time financial incentive of Rs 2 lakh, while those qualifying in the mains examination are awarded Rs 3 lakh. The government also provides Rs 2 lakh to candidates passing national-level examinations and assists tribal students gaining admission to premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, and National Law Universities. Furthermore, career counselling facilities have been established in all state colleges, and language enhancement courses for tribal students have been conducted in collaboration with the British Council of India.
